Johan has lost his key and is locked out of his home. He doesn’t know when his mum will be home. It’s getting dark at the apartment block. What do you do then?

Snow and Sand tells the story of a boy’s struggles with the reality of everyday life. Mum is always working and rarely at home. Johan has to take care of himself the best he can. He uses his imagination to create meaning. If he just makes up a story in his head about how things in life are happening, then reality isn’t too bad! But what happens when make-believe takes over? It’s a story about snowballs, love, deceit and disclosure.
