KABOOM – THE ART OF DESTRUCTION
18 famous destructions from the history of art
When can you destroy things? Why might it be necessary? Can you build new without tearing down something old first? Come along when we drown busts and paint on top of other people’s paintings. We throw Kierkegaard in the meat grinder and stuff him in sausages! We crunch candies, smash guitars and crawl through canvases with the audience. The hyper-current performance shows 18 famous destructions from the history of art recreated live in a 45 minute tour de force for the whole family!
The performance is produced by Live Art Danmark and is about the relationship between destruction and creation. Together with the audience, we explore the forbidden joy of destruction through smashing things together with them on stage.
