VAI VIA

Poetic and musical history of life's ups and downs

Are you ready to hear a story about a woman? A woman whose life is wrapped in a double bass case. The big city is buzzing as she looks for a place to settle down. Most often she is chased away by angry voices that say: “Vai via!” – go away. In the box, she hides an old-fashioned alarm clock, her dentures and a picture of her four children. Every night she kisses them goodnight before going to sleep in the safe cavity of the double bass box.

Experience a wordless and musical tale about a woman who finds a home on the streets. The performance asks questions about what it is like to live without a roof over your head and what we understand by a home. Because where do we have home and how does it feel?
