A pre-teen performance about feeling invisible
Janus and Clara have something in common. They have difficulty making friends. Their schools are close to each other, separated only by the park. But they don’t know each other. Every morning, Janus takes the yellow subway from the west. Clara the Green from the East. The last stretch they both take the red line.
Janus is starting to feel transparent. The others look at their mobiles and walk past him without seeing him. Finally, he has become completely invisible. One day, when he is sitting on a bench in the park and has come to terms with his non-existence, he discovers that there is a girl sitting on the bench opposite with a book in her hand. She looks directly at him. Janus looks back at Clara, and Clara gives him, without meaning to, a sort of smile.
